Irving Penn

I don't believe in having a favourite photograph or favourite photographer, but if I had to have one, it would be Irving Penn. Predominantly a portrait photographer, his use of light and compositional design with his subjects is both powerful and refreshing. And while a lot of his work is well over 50 years old, it certainly stands the test of time.
